A collaboration between three friends. As college students we have a unique point of view which we hope to express with through our collection of crafts, recipes, and design related thoughts and images. This is our guide to fashion, food, and fun, one colour at a time! Unless stated otherwise, we do not own any of the content posted on this blog. We are using this blog to gather and share some of our favorite internet finds.

Of Owls and Flowers
My favorite colors are blue and yellow. And this cake combines them as well as *supercoolR's famed color palette and LuckyArtemis' love of owls! Sure it's a few weeks too late, but it never hurts to go back and visit an old classic!
Even the insides are amazing looking!

Blue Curacao
this one is really pretty so here it is
Blue Moon recipe
1 cup crushed ice
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup blue curaƧao
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons vanilla-flavored syrup (such as Torani)
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon Cointreau or other orange-flavored liqueur
Preparation
In a blender, combine all ingredients and whirl until smooth. Pour into four martini glasses (4 oz.) and garnish the rim of each glass with a slice of orange.
Blue Curacao is actually a liquor... here's a whole bunch more cocktails
Here's some of the more interesting ones for the second source...
Bloody Smurf Jizz recipe
3/4 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
3/4 oz grenadine syrup
1 tsp Bailey's® Irish cream
Sprite® soda to taste
Chill the grenadine. Pour the blue curacao into a champagne flute. Add the sprite to taste. Slowly pour the grenadine into the glass in order for it to sink. Add the Bailey's irish cream with a teaspoon slowly in the glass to allow it to float, and serve.
Serve in: Champagne Flute
Blue Sky recipe
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
6 oz milk
Pour both ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes, and serve.
4% (8 proof)
Serve in: Highball Glass

Too Cute to Eat... Well Almost

Aren't these adorable? Sure our color isn't there front and center, but it is pretty snazzy! The lanterns are more of our theme... don't you suddenly feel inspired?

Trendy Decor, Discount Prices
Over the summer I was in the search of dishes for my apartment. I wish sick of using ceramic and stoneware. They were simply too heavy when it came to packing. So I went to my local target and found a pretty cool set. It was a bit of a floral but still masculine... kind of timeless despite the plates and bowls being square. The pieces were between 1-7 a piece. I started with a few salad plates and bowls and by the end of the summer I added more plates, bowls, and a tray at steals!
Target is a great place for people with a college budget that want more than the standard neon color dinnerware. My set is being discontinued but Target always has something new. If you are patient and don't mind visiting more than one store, you don't have to pay full retail and can get the quantity you want.

The tray picture here is available for under $5 on Target if you don't mind melamine. I personally find it durable and the perfect weight for college life and dining during the summer.

Dear turquoise, I love you.

Blue Curacao is literally my FAVOURITE colour and I'm so excited to share my love for turquoise!
One of the reasons I chose this colour is because this is going to be one of the big colours for spring 2011, in fashion and design!
Here are some outfits from the runway: Fendi, H&M, Cynthia Steffe, DKNY, and Costume National.
Which one of the these is your favourite?
