A Strawberry Kiss with a Bite of Lime

To celebrate the arrival of our new freelance contributor, we have decided to go back to posting actual recipes instead of just links and pictures. So the kick things off, lets have a toast to our newest member.

Strawberry Mojito anyone?

Strawberry Mojitos (From My Adventures in Food)

For each mojito, you will need:
4-5 fresh strawberries, depending on size
Small handful of fresh mint leaves
3 oz simple syrup (even amounts of sugar and water, heated until the sugar melts, and cooled to room temperature)
2 oz rum
1 1/2 tsp fresh lime juice
Club soda
Lime slices

Place strawberries, mint, and some ice (crushed ice works best) in a tall glass. Muddle the ingredients together with the back of a spoon (or a muddler if you have one.) Add simple syrup, rum, and lime juice. Pour in enough club soda to fill the glass. Give the mixture a stir, and garnish with fresh strawberries and lime slices.

Blue Curacao

this one is really pretty so here it is

Blue Moon recipe

1 cup crushed ice
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup blue curaƧao
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons vanilla-flavored syrup (such as Torani)
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon Cointreau or other orange-flavored liqueur

Preparation
In a blender, combine all ingredients and whirl until smooth. Pour into four martini glasses (4 oz.) and garnish the rim of each glass with a slice of orange.

Blue Curacao is actually a liquor... here's a whole bunch more cocktails

Here's some of the more interesting ones for the second source...

Bloody Smurf Jizz recipe
3/4 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
3/4 oz grenadine syrup
1 tsp Bailey's® Irish cream
Sprite® soda to taste

Chill the grenadine. Pour the blue curacao into a champagne flute. Add the sprite to taste. Slowly pour the grenadine into the glass in order for it to sink. Add the Bailey's irish cream with a teaspoon slowly in the glass to allow it to float, and serve.

Blue Sky recipe
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
6 oz milk
