Facebook Revolution

Tripl3 Thread is beginning to branch out into other forms of social media.

Our Facebook Page is now up.

A Tumblr is in discussion at the moment.

Who knows, a twitter could be on the horizon too!

For now, if you have any suggestions feel free to live them on Facebook, leave a comment on the blod, or send us a line to our email address is tripl3thread@gmail.com

I don't believe we have put this on here before, but here's our basic disclaimer:

We do not own any of the images, quotes, or other related materials from the blogs we frequent. We do not own the colors of Pantone we use each week, nor do we intend to profit from the use of the materials we borrow from other websites or Pantone. The Pantone colors are simply being used to help cohesively organize recipes, home decor ideas, fashion, and literature.

Frosty treats

I know its quite cold to be thinking about these, but summer is only a few months away!

Orange Scallops

These look amazing!

Orange Cheese?

Despite the combo sounding a little weird to me, these orange cheese tarts sound good... For some reason I can fathom Lemon or Lime with cheese but not other citrus fruit. Weird...

Week 13: Vitamin C

It seems like everyone is getting sick again so Tripl3thread is going to prescribe some oj in the form of Coral Rose (Pantone 16-1349)

Lavender and Lemon Love Affair 3

You can't really see the Lavender in it, but this sounds really good so I'll cheat and just count the ingredient included instead of actually being able to see the color...

For the Ladies

One of our dear readers showed an interest for the Spring 2011 colors for women, so here they are!
Many of the colors are the same or similar to their male counterparts though several are more obviously different (i.e. Honeysuckle).

Week 12: Lavender Dreams

This week is a more relaxing color that has found its way into both Women's and Men's fashion over the last few years... Its more than just a color!

So here is Lavender (Pantone 15-3817)

Week 11: Shamrocky Secrets

Pantone has declared this weeks color, one of the 10 hues to look out for in Spring 2011 Fashion for men. If you do a closer inspection you will see several of our previous colors.

This week's color was chosen in honor of St Patrick's Day. Nothing describes Ireland more than its lush plant life. The color name Turf Green (17-0119) brings about a beautiful mental representation of grass.

Hello Spring, Goodbye College Budget

Yesterday's weather took a brief turn for the sunny, inspiring a little bit of online "window shopping" for spring.

Oh Anthropologie, you get me every time.

Colorstrology

I bought the book Colostrology by Michelle Bernheardt for my sister a few years ago but never looked up my own birthday.

Apparently

(Me) June 25th is Gull Gray (Pantone 16-3803)--Receptive, Loyal, Insightful

(Super) Dec 22nd is Evergreen (Pantone 19-5420)--Solid, Creator, Contemplative

(Lucky) June 22nd is Bright Lime Green (Pantone 14-0244)--Inventive, Theatrical, Earnest

June is Aspen Gold (Pantone13-0850)--Radiant, Uplifting, Intellectually Uplifting
December is Pagoda Blue (Pantone 17-4724)--Wisdom, Truth, Vision

While I am not a fan of the colors... the meanings are so true!

Can I have some crème brûlée please? Merci.

On a cold winter day, there is nothing I like better than soft winter whites and neutrals. I was so pleased to see the colour Lil Prepster chose this week! Here is one of my favourite looks of all time -- chunky knit + chunky scarves. I'm not gonna lie, I have a soft spot for any sort of scarves so I knew just want to share with our readers.

This look can be achieved very simply and with any colour palette you like. Just find a chunky scarf and a sweater! I would definitely go for neutral on neutral though. And I would substitute the jeans with a (faux) leather mini skirt or even shorts to make it a little more fun.

What do you think?

PS. crème brûlée means burnt creme en français pour ceux qui le savaient pas :)

Russet is Retro

I found this on foodgawker and decided that I would still share it... It's for last week's theme but too good not to share!

Yet another twist... what a great way to get people who hate trying something new (or eating vegetables) to get their nutrients!

Lasagna... but not?

Here's a nice twist on a pantry staple for many... I'm not fond of all of the ingredients but it's creative and sounds really good!
