This one is inspired by the piles of snow in my front yard.Here's another pick from...you guessed it, J.Crew (I promise my entire wardrobe is not J.Crew...though I certainly wish it was).
I think everyone needs a simple white dress. You can dress it up or down easily and it's a whole lot more fresh than the little black dress.
Why this outfit works:

You can see it in the detail. The beige accents the brown belt and the brown striping on the cardigan is genius.
Pairing the oxfords with the dress just adds more interest and personality into the outfit. I think that's what essentially makes this outfit what it is. A pair of pumps would have just been boring!
To make this more weather appropriate, I would pair this with nude or gray tights and add cognac knee high or mid length boots. And with a burberry nova check scarf, I'd be ready to face the winter winds.
